Real Madrid plan bid for Bayern Munich star Thomas Mueller

20 January 2014 - 14:52

Bayern Munich's talented midfield playmaker has been linked with a shock move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Thomas Mueller is widely regarded as one of the finest young players of his generation and it is unlikely that Pep Guardiola will be looking to sell the German international, despite talk of Real's bid.

 • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
 • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
 • According to a report from Spain, Real Madrid are plotting a 45 million Euro offer for the classy midfielder but it is understood Bayern Munich are not interested in a sale. The European champions have told Mueller that they will be rejecting any offers for his services.
With Bayern Munich looking to retain the Champions League title that they won last season, it is unlikely that they will be selling one of their best players to one of their fiercest European rivals.
With the crunch tie of Arsenal vs Bayern coming up, Pep Guardiola has told his board that he will rebuff all bids for Mueller as such speculation is likely to unsettle his most valuable players.
