Manchester United are understood to have decided against pursuing a move for Newcastle United playmaker Yohan Cabaye during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils were said to be tracking the French midfield sensation, who was the subject of a rebuffed bid from Arsenal in the summer.
However, manager David Moyes has now given up on signing up the talented midfielder, mainly due to the Magpies' £20m asking price for the player's services.
Yohan Cabaye, who has been one of the stand-out performers for the Tyneside outfit, has also attracted interest from French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks.
