Sunderland are reportedly interested in making a move for Celtic's Greek striker Georgios Samaras, according to Sports Direct News.
The former Manchester City forward is set to be out of contract at Celtic Park in the summer, and could be available for a bargain price of just £2m.
However, the Black Cats could face stiff competition from the likes of Hull City, Atletico Madrid and Trabzonspor who are also keen on securing the player's services.
Samaras has scored 71 goals in 240 appearances for the Hoops since his switch from Manchester City in January 2008.
