Colombian international striker Jackson Martinez is on the cusp of agreeing a new deal with Portuguese giants Porto. The 27-year-old forward had been hotly linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal.
England's table topping Arsenal had reportedly tabled a 15 million bid for the striker that had been swiftly rejected by Porto. Now it appears the club and individual have come to terms on a fresh contract worth an estimated 95000 Euros per week for the forward.
Martinez has scored 12 goals in 14 games in the league this year as Porto chase yet another League title.
