Scouts of Tottenham Hotspur have been monitoring the progress of Argentinian right winger Rodrigo Gomez. The highly rated 21-year-old currently plays for Argentinos Juniors.

The midfield wizard has impressed many European sides with some magical performances down the flank and his cheeky skills. Tottenham are the first side to have apparently deployed scouts to keep a watchful eye on the youngster.

Tim Sherwood is planning a major overhaul of his squad in the summer and is planning on bringing in several young players as part of his rebuilding operation.

It is understood that Rodrigo Gomez could cost as much as £3.5 million to bring to England.
