Messi senior dismisses PSG links

26 January 2014 - 12:18

Reports in France had claim that Ligue Champions Paris Saint-Germain will start negotiations with Barcelona for Lionel Messi. PSG are seen as only as one of the few clubs who can afford the Argentine.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • L'Equipe too had reported that the capital outfit will start negotiations with La Blaugrana to try and agree a deal for the 26 year deal.

However Jorge Messi, Lionel Messi's father and agent, insists that the Barcelona star is not thinking about leaving the club.

“At the moment there is nothing,” he was quoted in a sports daily.

“Leo is a Barcelona player and has a multiyear contract.

“It’s nice to know that PSG think about him, but the only reality is his contract with Barcelona.

“Only God know however, what will happen tomorrow. In football, you never know.”
