Dutch international defender John Heitinga is expected to stay at Goodison Park this winter after talks over a move to Turkey stalled.Galatasaray were the favourites to wrap up a deal for the centre back but that deal appears to have fallen through as the Turkish giants are seemingly looking elsewhere.

Galatasaray were the favourites to wrap up a deal for the centre back but that deal appears to have fallen through as the Turkish giants are seemingly looking elsewhere. With an injury to Brian Oviedo, the Toffees are now more reliant on a solid squad and want to keep the defender as an option.
