West Ham have tabled a £500,000 offer for Academica midfielder Fernando Alexandre. The 28-year-old is expected to become West Ham's third major coup of the January transfer window.
The former Portuguese youth international has been monitored by Hammers' scouts in recent weeks and is highly rated in his homeland.
Alexandre has only played in Portugal and is considered a journeyman having played for the likes of Benfica, Braga and Olhanense over the years.
