Lazio eye Chelsea midfielder to replace departing Brazilian

Serie A club Lazio are eyeing a move for Chelsea midfielder Gael Kakuta to replace Brazilian midfielder Hernanes who looks bound for Inter. The Frenchmen arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2007 amidst controversy and led to the club being fined for their conduct.

Since arriving though the 22 year old has struggled to get game time at Chelsea and has found himself farmed out on loan to various clubs the latest being at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem.



However, he returned to his parent club at the start of the year hoping to resurrect his Blues career, but it now appears a deal has been agreed for nominal money and he is all set to sign a three and a half year deal.



The French youth international has only made six league appearances for the West London Club since making his senior debut in 2009.
