Atletico eye Manchester City’s forgotten man

31 January 2014 - 17:29

Spanish club Atletico Madrid are eyeing a move for Manchester City’s forgotten man Jack Rodwell. The 22 year old has had a miserable time at the Etihad stadium since moving there back in 2012.

  • Man Utd expecting €80m boost with double player sale
  • Confirmed Liverpool line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Galatasaray, Salah starts

  • Rodwell is one of the names on manager Diego Simeone's list which also include Ever Banega of Valencia and Javier Pastore of Paris Saint-Germain. Atleti are likely to lose summer signing Joshua Guilavogui who is expected to return to his previous club Saint-Etienne before the deadline window slams shut.

The England international is a box-to-box midfielder who can also play as a center back and his versatility could come in handy for a team who is fighting on many fronts.

The former Everton man has made 14 League appearances for Manchester City in almost two years scoring two goals.
