31 January 2014 - 18:50

Stoke City have agreed a fee for Sunderland midfielder and captain Lee Cattermole. There have been rumours that the two clubs have been trying to negotiate a fee for the player for some time now.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • Sources claim that a five million pound fee for the 25 year old has been agreed and the player will now head to midlands to complete formalities.

The Black Cats have already agreed a deal for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Liam Bridcutt who plays in a similar position to Cattermole.

If the deal goes through the midfielder will miss the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City.

The former Wigan player arrived at the Stadium of Light in 2009 and has since made 92 league appearances for the club.
