Former Barcelona man rejected Liverpool for a return to Spain

Seydou Keita has revealed that he rejected a chance to join Liverpool in favor of a return to Spain with Valencia. The former Barcelona man was playing for Dalian Aerbin in the Chinese Super League before his return to the La Liga.

The midfielder also confirmed that the negotiations with The Reds were well underway before the Spanish club made contact with him. His arrival is going to give the club a massive boost in their hunt for the European places.



This is what the 34 year old had to say about the whole transfer,



“When we received the call from Valencia we were in advanced talks with Liverpool,”



“But I told my agent we were going with Valencia and I’m very happy we did.”



Liverpool had a terrible January transfer window failing to get any one in.
