Den Haag sack their head coach

05 February 2014 - 15:26

Dutch club ADO Den Haag have sacked their head coach Maurice Steijn. The dismissal comes after the team suffered a crushing 3-0 loss at SC Heracles and the mediocre display proved to be Stejin’s last act as the head of the club.

  • Den Haag now sit at the bottom of the Eredivisie table with 20 points from 22 games played.

Steijn took charge of the Dutch outfit in 2011 when the club went on finish 15th just one place above the relegation playoff spots. Last season though the club improved and went on to finish 9th.

The bottom club now have crucial matches against Roda JC, NAC Breda, and Go Ahead Eagles coming up and they will be looking to make a quick appointment for their next coach to avoid relegation.
