Martins Indi banned for a month

05 February 2014 - 20:01

Feyenoord defender Bruno Martins Indi has been banned for the month of February after the Dutch Football Association found him guilty.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The 21 year old was found to have stamped on Vitesse Arnhem’s Renato Ibarra when the two clubs met on 31st January. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Though the referee saw the incident the Federation has now slapped the Netherlands international with a three match ban and another match on the charges of serious foul play.

This what a statement from the club read today,

"Feyenoord and Bruno Martins Indi have decided to accept a settlement proposal of the prosecutor of the KNVB,"

"Martins Indi will miss the upcoming matches against NEC (home), NAC Breda (away) and FC Twente (away).

"The Holland international will be deployable for the first time for Feyenoord in the home match against Ajax on 2nd March."
