La Liga club Athletic Bilbao will offer new contracts to four of their finest players in Iker Muniain, Ander Herrera, Ander Iturrapse and Aymeric Laporte.
The club want to build for the long term and avoid being in a situation like they found themselves in the case of Fernando Llorente and Javi Martinez.
Iker Muniain is the first priority after he held of talks till the end of the season. Herrera on the other hand was linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer. Both Iturrapse and Laporte have also caught the eye of various top clubs in Europe.
The lions are currently in 4th position in La Liga, a position good enough for Champions League.
