Walcott injured vs Wigan

24 November 2007 - 17:35

Arsenal's striker Theo Walcott has picked up an injury at the Emirates against Wigan this Saturday. The English schemer was stretchered off for Nicklas Bendtner and before the injury had impressed.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The England U-21 attacker, who has been in great form for his club and country this season, was injured in a tackle with Emile Heskey with around 10 minutes left for the end of normal time.

The 18-year-old was stretchered off and Nicklas Bendtner came in for the remainder of the game.

Walcott had recently revealed that his confidence has been boosted since he underwent shoulder surgery over the summer and said he was ready to run at the rival defences. However, if it turns out to be ligaments damage, the former Southampton man will have to face a spell on the sidelines.
