Hull City to make bid for Johan Djourou

Djourou: top of Hull's wish list

Hull City to make bid for Johan Djourou

28 February 2014 - 01:52

Swiss defender Johan Djourou is a surprise target for Steve Bruce's side Hull City. The player, who is currently on loan at Hamburg from Arsenal, is no longer in Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's long term plans.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • Djourou has been in decent form since making a move to Germany on loan but is known to be looking for a return to England as he feels that he still has much to prove in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old has spent two seasons on loan at the Bundesliga side and has over 15 months left on his current contract with the Gunners. Arsene Wenger is ready to sell the defender for around 2.5 million Euros and German sides Wolfsburg and Freiburg are closely monitoring Djourou's contract situation.
