Inter Milan have reportedly confirmed that Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic will join the club during the summer transfer window, according to president Erick Thohir.
The 32-year-old Serbian defender had earlier stated that he will leave the Red Devils at the end of the season, as he is keen on a fresh challenge.
The Nerazzurri had been tracking the talented centre-back over the past few months, and have now secured his services for the next campaign on a free transfer.
"Vidic is a world-class player. I'm extremely happy to have completed this deal to bring Nemanja to Milan. He's one of the world's best defenders and his qualities, international pedigree and charisma will be an asset to the team and help bring through our younger players." Inter president Erick Thohir said.
Vidic has made over 200 league appearances for the Red Devils since his switch from Spartak Moscow in January 2006.
