Liverpool are to make a shock move for Reading's young left back Jordan Obita. The England under-19 international has been monitored by Brendan Rodgers ahead of a summer transfer move north.
With doubts over the long term fitness of Spain left back Jose Enrique and after Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Aly Cissokho would not be moving to Anfield on a permanent deal, the Northern Irish manager has decided to plump for a move for youngster Obita, who has been a revelation since his progression into the Royals' first team last season.
A report from the Mirror suggests that Obita will make a move to Anfield in the summer transfer window and put pen to paper on a five year contract at Liverpool.
