Everton boss dismisses Seamus Coleman exit

Martinez - Coleman will stay at Everton

Everton boss dismisses Seamus Coleman exit

20 March 2014 - 12:11

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has rebuffed speculation linking star defender Seamus Coleman with a summer exit from the club.

  • Hull City want to sign Chelsea midfielder on loan
  • Chelsea set fresh asking price for Liam Delap
  • Latest reports have claimed that the Red Devils boss David Moyes had agreed a fee in the region of £15m to sign the Republic of Ireland international.

However, Martinez has dismissed the reports by insisting that the Toffees are eager to offer a new contract extension to the 25-year-old.

"It must be a different Seamus Coleman because there has been absolutely no contact," The Spaniard said. "Seamus is having a great season and hopefully he can continue those levels. We want him here for many years to come."

Coleman has been in top form for the Merseyside outfit this season, and has notched up 7 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions thus far.
