Sebastian Kehl signs new Dortmund deal

24 March 2014 - 06:15

Long serving Borussia Dortmund defensive midfielder Sebastian Kehl has signed a new contract. The 34-year-old has told reporters that this is the last deal of his long career.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • In recent years Kehl has slipped down the pecking order at BVB, but Jurgen Klopp has continuously offered new deals to the one club man and has taken a pay cut to remain at the side for another season.

"Borussia Dortmund, our wonderful team, the fans and the city of Dortmund has been my home for many years. That's why I've decided to continue this connection," Kehl told the club's official website.

"I look forward to my last year in the Bundesliga. The right time is then for me to begin a new life.
