Atletico Madrid's on loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has ruled out a transfer move to Real Madrid, insisting that he would rather stay with his temporary club or move back to Chelsea at the end of the season.

  • The Belgium international has often been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge on a permanent transfer but has so far decided that his long term future will be to make a permanent transfer to Atletico Madrid or move to England with Chelsea, with whom he currently has two years left on his current deal.

"The talk about Real Madrid is only rumours, it is not true. The one thing I have always said is that it’s Atletico or Chelsea," said Courtois.

Real Madrid are scouring Europe to find a new keeper as there remains some uncertainty over the long term future of goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
