Chelsea manager denies approach for star striker

No bids for Lukaku yet

Chelsea manager denies approach for star striker

05 April 2014 - 04:29

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that the club hae not received any formal transfer offer from either Tottenham Hotspur or Everton for the services of star striker Romelu Lukaku.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • The Belgian international's agent Christophe Henrotay had earlier claimed that he had met up with Spurs over a potential transfer during the summer transfer window.

While reports elsewhere have speculated that Everton, could make a bid of their own, should they finish in the top-four this campaign.

However, the Portuguese manager was quick to rubbish the claims by insisting that it is not right to discuss Lukaku's future until the end of the season.

"Have we had any approaches? No. I don't think that it's the time to speak about it." He said. "He's a Chelsea player, but at the same time, he's an Everton player until the end of the season. We want to respect that. Everton are a good club for a loan. Our player is there and our player is playing."

Lukaku has notched up 13 goals in twice as many games for the Toffees on-loan this season.
