Wenger not responsible for naming replacement

Arsenal manager Wenger refuses to name potential successor

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he will not be in charge of naming the person who will eventually take over his position at the Emirates. Wenger has come under pressure having picked up just 2 points from a potential 9 in the league.

  • The Gunners struggled last weekend against Man City in a 1-1 draw whilst their previous game saw them draw 2-2 at home with Swansea.

Now many believe Arsene Wenger could step down at the end of the year.

Despite that, reporters asked the Frenchman whether or not he would be responsible for choosing his eventual replacement. Wenger replied: "I have told you many times, it is not my job to show, to choose who will follow me after, when I leave one day."
