Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Porto pair of Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando for a reported fee of around £41m.
The Citizens had failed to sign the talented duo in the winter transfer window, as a transfer fee could not be agreed between the two parties.
According to The Telegraph, City's sporting director Txiki Begiristain has continued talks with the Primeira Liga giants, and a deal for Mangala is believed to be close to completion.
However, Fernando is also on the eye of the former Premier League champions and a combined fee could be agreed for the duo come the summer transfer window.
Manchester City are currently 3rd in the Premier League.
