Napoli want permanent deal for Reina

Napoli to trigger Pepe Reina buy-out clause?

19 April 2014 - 15:27

Napoli are apparently looking at the possibility of activating a buy-out clause in Pepe Reina's contract.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • According to Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A giants are keen on signing the talented Spanish international on a permanent deal at the end of the season and are prepared to make use of a £5.2m clause in the player's contract, which would allow them to offer the Reds shot-stopper with a three-year deal.

Reina has been fine form for the Naples outfit and manager Rafael Benitez considers the player worth enough to remain at the club beyond the current campaign.

Napoli are currently third in the Serie A with 68 points.
