Atletico Madrid will reportedly make a formal bid for Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The report claims that the La Liga giants will make a move for the former Sevilla star, with Diego Costa likely to leave the club for Chelsea at the end of the season.
Adding to this, Negredo is believed to be open to a return to his homecountry following injuries as well as fatigue stunting his form in the second half of the season for the Citizens.
Negredo has notched up 23 goals in 45 appearances for City in all competitions this season.
