West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is rumoured to have sent his most trusted scouting team to watch Marseille winger Dimitri Payet in action. The 27-year-old only joined the Ligue 1 club last summer.
West Ham are seemingly not worried about spending the reported 12 million Euros release clause in Payet's contract, as manager Sam Allardyce is reportedly a huge fan of the former Lille player and tried to sign him for the Hammers last year as well. Payet has appeared seven times for the French national team and prior to Marseille played for both St Etienne and Lille. Payet has also previously hinted that he dreams of playing in England before calling time on his career.
