Newcastle manager Alan Pardew will make an enquiry for Man City midfielder Jack Rodwell. The defensive midfielder has so far struggled to force his way into Manuel Pellegrini's side.
The 23-year-old moved to Man City in 2012 from Everton and has only played 15 games. Back in 2011 Rodwell was the talk of the country as he earned his first call up to England's national team and went on to play three games for the side. However, a disappointing spell at City appears to have cost the youngster dearly and Rodwell will now seek a move away from the Citizens.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is to be given his transfer budget in the coming weeks and it is understood he is ready to spend a large portion of it securing two new midfielders. Rodwell is expected to be amongst the names on his short list.
