Bayern Munich central midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger could well miss out on a place in Germany's World Cup squad and is set to sit out the Bavarian side's DFB Pokal final versus fierce rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Schweinsteiger is suffering with an inflammation of his patella tendon and has now been given an individual training programme.
The German's pre-World Cup training camp will be starting on the 21st and Schweinsteiger may not be a part of that group of players.
When asked if the player would make this summer's showpiece tournament, manager Pep Guardiola told reporters: "I don't know, I'm not a doctor."
