Arsenal have reportedly shown desire in signing Manchester City midfielder James Milner in the upcoming transfer window, according to The Guardian.
The talented England international is understood to have asked an escape route from the Citizens, having only started 12 games in the Premier League this season.
The Guardian claims that the Gunners are planning a £10m offer, with manager Arsene Wenger open to offering Milner the chance to play in his preferred centre midfield positon.
However, the Premier League champions are reluctant to allow the sale of the talented midfielder, as they would need to have atleast eight home-grown players in the Champions League squad, which has now been trimmed to just 21 following their violation of fair-play rules.
