Newly appointed Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly set to rival Arsenal and Chelsea for the services of Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic this summer.
The Dutchman joined the Red Devils as their new boss by penning a three-year contract, with Ryan Giggs set to be his assistant.
According to The Daily Mail, Mandzukic is apparently unhappy with the way manager Pep Guardiola has treated him over the past few weeks, and is likely to leave the club following his decision to join the Croatian national side on a training camp, having been left of the Bayern squad that beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 to win the German Cup last weekend.
The report also claims that Van Gaal's appointment at Old Trafford has added the talented striker to the list of targets for the club this summer.
