Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria is planning a long term stay at Real Madrid, despite talk of interest from Tottenham and Monaco. The Champions League final's man of the match revealed that he has long term ambitions to stay in the Spanish capital for at least another five years.
Di Maria has decided to speak very openly about his long term plans and stressed that he is very happy staying at Real Madrid for the long term.
"I am very relaxed, now I am only thinking about the World Cup," di Maria said. "I believe I am in good form. We will see then what happens with Madrid, if they want me to stay or if I will leave the club. I am very happy. I had a great year and the fans recognised that -- I always had their support.
"Although you want to stay, sometimes you cannot because the club wants another player, or to make more signings, and needs to sell -- and somebody must go. But I am very happy."
