Bayern Munich have placed Manchester City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov as their number one target for the summer, The Mirror reports.

The 28-year-old has been constantly linked with a switch away from the Citizens in recent months, following an excellent season under manager Manuel Pellegrini last term.

According to The Mirror, the German champions have revealed their interest in the Serbia international, who made over 40 appearances for the Mancunian giants in all competitions last season.

Kolarov joined City from Serie A outfit Lazio in the summer of 2010.
