QPR, Everton and Stoke chase Gareth Barry

Gareth Barry is one of the hottest properties in English football this summer after Man City released the midfielder. Having spent last season on loan at Everton, the Toffees are looking to re-sign the player on a permanent deal.

But Everton will have to do battle with Stoke City and newly promoted QPR, who both want to sign the former England international.

Gareth Barry had an excellent season at Goodison Park last year and club manager Roberto Martinez has indicated that he wants to make the deal permanent.

However, Barry also admits that a move to QPR might be more viable for personal and financial reasons, with the London club ready to offer the player a three year contract.
