Newcastle United want to sign Hull City centre back Curtis Davies, with the defender reportedly looking to quit Steve Bruce's side this summer in favour of a move to a bigger club.

  • Davies, who played as captain during Hull City's FA Cup Final defeat to Arsenal, enjoyed a largely successful season for Hull City and numerous teams have made enquiries regarding the player's availability. Newcastle are known to be in the race for Davies' coveted signature and will have to battle the likes of Everton and Newcastle to snap up the player. The in demand centre back could command a fee as large as £7.5 million.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce is known to be desperate to keep hold of the important defender, but with Davies' value shooting up after last campaign he may be forced to sell the club's skipper.
