Everton manager Roberto Martinez will make a bid to sign Belgium international forward Romelu Lukaku. The striker has told his current club Chelsea that he wants to leave.
Lukaku had an excellent loan spell playing for the Toffees last season and is now seeking a move elsewhere on a permanent deal. The Belgian forward is said to be very interested in a transfer to Everton.
One stumbling block for the Toffees could be Chelsea's hefty asking price.
Chelsea are looking for around 23 million pounds to sell the striker, some way off of Everton's maximum transfer budget.
However, talks are set to continue as Chelsea are on the cusp of completing a transfer for Spain striker Diego Costa.
