The 21-year-old made his debut for Sociedad last season and is understood to have impressed the Gunners' scouts.



According to The Mirror, manager Arsene Wenger will allow Mexican striker Carlos Vela to remain at the La Liga outfit, with the option of signing up the talented defender as part of the deal.

The Gunners are expected to sign up a right-back in the summer transfer window, following the departure of Bacary Sagna to Manchester City.
