Southampton hope to keep Lallana

18 June 2014 - 12:15

Southampton are hoping that the new appointment of Ronald Koeman as manager will ensure that forward Adam Lallana stays at St Mary's.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • Adam Lallana has been the subject of intense interest from other rival teams and the Saints are hoping the England international stays put.

Executive Director Les Reed told reporters: "Lallana's been here long enough, we've brought him to this level and we feel that perhaps he should give it a little bit longer.

"Anybody seriously considering coming for our players are going to have to think very significantly about the size of the fee. "If we do take money it will be because it's the right amount and it enables us to improve the team and move forward. "
