Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a shock move to sign Sunderland defender John O’Shea, according to the Telegraph.
Newly appointed Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be keen on finding a suitable replacement for skipper Michael Dawson, who looks set to leave the North London club this summer, and the Republic of Ireland international is being considered to fill the void.
Sunderland are preparing for a major overhaul of their squad during the upcoming transfer window, and O'Shea could be among those set to exit the Stadium of Light.
The Telegraph claims that Spurs will make a bid in the region of £3m for the services for the former Manchester United defender.
