Colombia qualified for their first quarter-finals in World Cup history following their 2-0 victory over Uruguay.
With Uruguay missing Luis Suarez due to his four-month ban for the biting incident on Italy international Giorgio Chiellini, the odds were stacked against the South American side to qualify for the next stage of the major FIFA showpiece.
Colombia and Monaco star James Rodriguez proved why he is considered as a top prospect for the future as he scored a brace in the first-half to seal José Pékerman's side qualification to the last 8 at the World Cup finals in Brazil.
It will once again be a South American affair in the quarter-finals as hosts Brazil take on Colombia in Fortaleza on July 5.
