Monaco keen to retain Falcao and Rodriguez

04 July 2014 - 06:47

French club Monaco's Vice President Vadim Vasilyev has revealed that the club will not sell talented strikers James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • After stellar performances in the World Cup so far, Colombian star Rodriguez is a summer target for Spanish giants Real Madrid and Rodriguez too has expressed interest in the move. He has scored five goals in the World Cup with at least one goal in every match he has played.

Colombian striker Falcao could not play in the World Cup due to a knee injury and there were concerns whether Colombia will be able to reach the second stage without him. But Rodriguez has filled his shoes with ease and the duo of Juan Cuadrado and Rodriguez have become a formidable force this World Cup.

Falcao has been recovering well and is expected to be fit before the start of the next season.

Monaco will surely eye a huge transfer fee for both the players, if they decide to sell them this season.
