James Rodriguez not keen on a Premier League move

04 July 2014 - 15:24

Colombia international James Rodriguez has revealed in an interview that he is not keen on a Premier League move this summer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • His World Cup performances has caught the attention of many top clubs in Europe including the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.

Rodriguez does not want to move to England because it would be "too physical" for him. He said that playing in Spain is his long-held ambition and he could see himself playing in Spain in the future rather than in England.

"I've said in the past that I’d like to play in Spain one day, because it is a league that is good technically, and where you get a lot of touches on the ball, which is my style," he said.

He also said that he is not thinking about his future at Monaco and is rather focused on the World Cup campaign with Colombia facing the hosts Brazil in their quarterfinal clash.

So, it seems like if Monaco do let him go this summer, it would be most probably to Real Madrid as Barcelona is almost done with the transfer of Luis Suarez from Anfield this summer.
