The 20-year-old was in top form for the Toffees last season as he scored seven goals in 38 appearances, which secured his place in the England World Cup squad.

The Mirror claims that the Premier League champions are mulling over a £25m bid for the England international, with former Toffees midfielder Jack Rodwell likely to be offered as part of the deal.

Manchester City have also shown interest in signing Eliaquim Mangala from Porto over the past week.
