Arsene Wenger confirms deal for Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the Gunners are set to make Alexis Sanchez their newest acquisition. The Chile international will wrap up a transfer from FC Barcelona to the Emirates Stadium this week.

Arsene Wenger, who is currently in Brazil, has had club representatives locked in talks with Barcelona for over two weeks and a transfer fee has been agreed. Sanchez, who has struggled to reproduce the form at the Nou Camp that persuaded the Catalan club to spend 30 million Euros on his signature, is to fly to England for talks with the Gunners this week.

Wenger has told TalkSPORT that the club expect to wrap up a deal for Sanchez on Wednesday evening.
