Feyenoord defender Stefan de Vrij is set to snub Manchester United for a move to the Serie A, according to Lazio sporting director Igli Tare.
The 27-year-old, who is currently plying his trade with the Netherlands national side at the World Cup finals in Brazil, has been constantly linked with a switch to the Red Devils, managed by Louis van Gaal.
However, this does not look to be the case, with Lazio sporting director Igli Tare claiming that the player has had not contact with the Mancunian giants, and his desire is to play for Lazio.
"Many things have been said and written about De Vrij and his transfer to United but this is not true. His agent has said clearly that he has never been to Manchester to meet with the English club. De Vrij's will is to play in Lazio." Tare said.
