VfB Stuttgart and Germany international Antonio Rudiger is a target for West Ham. The Hammers are hoping to secure a deal for the 21-year-old next week and fend off the interest of Porto.

Porto were already in talks with Bundesliga side VfB, but the player is said to prefer a move to England and the Hammers are hoping to agree a fee this week as high level talks have already been ongoing.

Rudiger, who recently forced his way into Stuttgart's first team and has made a massive impression, thus earning his first full international cap; is valued at approximately 8 million euros and has a deal at his current club until 2017.
