Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has slammed former Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas for deciding to join bitter rivals Chelsea this summer. Fabregas completed a mega money move from Barcelona to Stamford Bridge.

  • Flamini and Fabregas played together at the heart of Arsenal's midfield before the Frenchman set off for pastures new and joined AC Milan on a free transfer; later on Fabregas would then return to his homeland and boyhood club Chelsea.

Despite Fabregas having previously told the press that he would not play for another Premier League team, Cesc decided to join Chelsea this summer.

A disappointed Flamini said: "I had an amazing time with him at Arsenal and he stayed a very close friend of mine. I'm a bit disappointed that he'll be playing with Chelsea rather than us, but I respect his decision. That's football, and I'm very happy for him because I'm sure that if he's moving back it's because he wanted it."
