Varane unhappy at Madrid?

15 July 2014 - 17:23

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is reportedly unhappy at Madrid and is looking to discuss his future with manager Carlo Ancelotti after returning from the World Cup.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • It appears that Varane could be leaving Bernabeu this summer.

Varane made just 12 starts in La Liga last season after suffering a knee injury, but he played the entirety of Real's extra-time win against local rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final.

The 21-year-old starred for his country at the World Cup in Brazil and put in some impressive performances as the Les Bleus side reached the quarter-final stage.

Ancelotti has often preferred to use the experienced duo of Ramos and Pepe over the services of the young Frenchman.

He might move to Premier League this season with the Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho a known admirer of the former Lens youngster, having signed him from the French club and given him his debut in Spain.
