  • The Germany international had an important role to play in Germany's World Cup campaign and after the win this Sunday, rumours hit the web that he had agreed to join Madrid.

He will be presented to Madrid fans today after his medical is completed.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined Bayern Munich from Hansa Rostock as a 16-year-old and has made 176 appearances for the German giants.

He was part of the historic treble-winning side of 2012-13 which also lifted the Champions League, before winning the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup last season.

"We would like to thank Toni Kroos for his time here in Munich. We enjoyed great success here together. We would like to wish him and his family all the best in Madrid and with Real," said Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

He will reportedly wear no. 8 Jersey for the European champions Real Madrid.

Los Blancos' midfielders Sami Khedira and Angel Di Maria are reportedly eyeing a move to the Premier League with Khedira in talks with Arsenal and Di Maria with Manchester United.

Real Madrid beat Manchester United and Chelsea for Kroos' signature and is a welcome arrival at Santiago Bernabeu.
